Case Study

St Carlo Acutis Youth Groups Solihull

The story that shows what is possible when parish, school and community work together.

What We've Achieved

  • Senior and junior groups attracting over 80 young people weekly

  • Parish collaboration across three churches

  • Formation built around prayer, debate, liturgical seasons, and safe discussion

  • Youth-led topics including ethics, pro-life issues, and social challenges

  • Integration with sacraments, school partnerships, and parish life

  • Families travelling long distances to attend because of quality and trust

The Vision

Sessions have inspired contributions to Radio Maria and involvement in parish liturgy. Both junior and senior groups have grown, offering safe spaces for friendship, faith, and formation.

Young people lead discussions, take part in prayer and explore real life topics with respect and maturity.

Replicating Success

CAA brings this model to other parishes to replicate success. Our role is to share what works, provide the tools and support, and accompany new youth groups as they grow.

Our Approach

How We Deliver

A proven process for helping parishes establish successful youth groups.

1

Outreach

Proactive engagement with parishes without youth groups, usually via parish priests.

2

Accompaniment

Support for parishioners discerning leadership, including initial meetings, guidance, and mentorship.

3

Resources

A suite of templates, checklists, safeguarding steps, communication examples, and session plans.

4

Networking

Connecting parishes to each other, to youth services, and to opportunities for training, retreats, and gatherings.

Your Parish Could Be Next

Every successful youth group started with someone taking the first step. We're here to walk with you.
